A Bicycle Ride in the hills above Dawson City and a drive to Alaska on the Top of the World Highway

Belle Jr. (my mountain bicycle) takes me to places Belle (my van) can't travel. Here we are on a trail along the Klondike River.

Credit to the Dawson City tour guide.

What a pretty ride up to a ski run! The downhill ride back to Dawson was way too fast though.

Found a good lookout place.

Dawson City and the Klondike River. The streets are not paved but have old style boardwalks. It's like the old West with many preserved buildings.

The ferry to west Dawson and the start of the Top of the World Highway.

Driving above the clouds. So beautiful.

Gravel road. It rained yesterday so it was another 4 wheel drive (hi lock) day.

So fun!

The Sprinter navigation screen.

On the left is Alaska and on the right is the Yukon.

Interesting ice.

The border crossing at Poker Creek, Alaska.

Belle at her finest.

Chicken, Alaska.

Campsite in Tok, Alaska on Saturday.

Crossing to West Dawson on the free ferry that runs 24 hours a day.
