Spending more time on the glacier as time is short

Polar stratospheric clouds, also known as nacreous clouds, are clouds in the winter polar stratosphere at altitudes of 49,000 to 82,000 feet.

I haven't seen these clouds since my McMurdo Station winter in 2012.
Mike's Halo!

I am running the glacier now with gaiters around my lower leg and running shoes attached to small snowshoes.

Chunky blue bits.
Sunsets are really bringing out the turquoise blue of the glacier face.

Skiing after work with a friend.

Sunrise.

At the same time a moon set.

Digging out the glacier radio sled on a beautiful day.
The tools of glacier running. The snow has frozen well enough to run without snowshoes.

Gaiters and micro-spikes.

The brighter the sun the more turquoise blue.

An ice cave.

Contemplating the enormity of it all.
