Camping in Talkeetna and Mushing a Sled Dog Team

 

At Eagle Camp on the Dempster Hwy in the Yukon I met some touring motorcyclists and shared a few beers and dinner with them. This house dog walked in and sat down and stared at us the entire time. Sure looks like part wolf to me. Photo credit to Rob.

My very fun activity of the day was to mush my own dog sled team!

These two lead dogs are both winners of the Iditarod and still race for the team of 5-time champion Dallas Seavey.
