A fine boating day.

Palmer Station on the edge of Anvers Island.

The water at this island is so clear and 30 feet deep.

Working our way through the brash ice.

A very scary and large leopard seal. This species of seal is known for its massive reptilian-like head and jaws that allow it to be one of the top predators in its environment.

This guy was very inquisitive as we drove by. Their heads and teeth are huge.

They do attack people and pretty much eat anything they want. Their only natural enemy is the killer whale.

Captain Mike!

Pancake ice forming from the grease ice.

Sunrise from the sea.

What a beautiful spot for Palmer Station.

My home for the next 6 months.

To the sun.

Home sweet home.
